Coming home for a few weeks? Plan the dentistry before you land.

Every summer and every December, Lebanese living in the Gulf, Europe, Africa and the Americas use a visit home to finally see a dentist. It can work very well — if the plan fits the calendar. This page says plainly what fits in one trip, what honestly needs two, how to prepare from abroad, and what happens after you fly back.

Why people come to Beirut for dental work

Three reasons, and only two of them are good. Lebanese dental training is strong — Saint Joseph University and the Lebanese University have produced dentists who practise across the region — and treatment in Beirut generally costs less than in the Gulf, Europe or North America for equivalent materials. Those are the good reasons. The bad one is pressure: a fixed departure date pushes patients and clinics to compress work that should not be compressed. Our rule is simple — we plan around your flight, but we don't let the flight plan the dentistry.

Timings are typical for straightforward cases. Your examination is what turns them into a dated plan.

Before you fly: prepare on WhatsApp

  • Send photos and X-rays. A few clear phone photos of your teeth and any recent X-rays to +961 71 400 667. Dr. Nasser replies with the likely options, how many visits each needs, and whether your dates work.
  • Hold the dates. Summer and the Christmas fortnight fill up. Once your flights are booked, we pencil in the visits so the laboratory timing lines up with your departure.
  • Get the examination done on day one or two. Everything downstream — mock-ups, lab work, healing — starts from it.
  • Expect a written quote after that examination, not before. It is itemised, fixed, and names the materials. We can indicate ranges by message, but a real price needs a real examination.

During your stay

The clinic is on the 5th floor of Pixel Tower on Mar Elias main street — directions and parking here — roughly ten to fifteen minutes from the airport road via Bir Hassan and Verdun, and close to the family neighbourhoods many visitors stay in: Hamra, Verdun, Ras Beirut, Mazraa, Barbour and Tarik El Jdideh. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and consultations are in English, Arabic or French. Quotes are in writing; US dollars and Lebanese pounds are accepted.

After you go back

You leave with a written record of every procedure, the materials used and your X-rays, so a dentist anywhere can continue or maintain the work. If something feels wrong, message us with a photo; we will tell you honestly whether it needs attention locally or can wait for your next visit. Implant patients get a specific handover note for the crown stage. And please: keep your hygiene appointments wherever you live — the best ceramic in Beirut is undone by two years without a cleaning.

What we won't do for a departure date

  • Fit final veneers or crowns the day before a flight, with no time to adjust the bite.
  • Load an implant early because you are leaving.
  • Skip the mock-up on a smile design to save a visit.
  • Quote a full treatment plan from a photograph.

If another clinic will, ask yourself why. Our checklist for choosing a dentist in Beirut applies doubly when you will be four thousand kilometres away when the work is tested.

Common questions from visiting patients

Can I have dental implants done in one trip to Lebanon?

Usually not honestly. The implant needs 2–4 months to fuse with the bone before the final crown is fitted, and rushing that stage is the main cause of failure. The realistic plan is two trips — placement on one visit, crown on the next (for example summer and Christmas) — or placement here and the crown with a dentist where you live, with our records.

Can you give me a quote before I fly?

We can give you an honest idea. Send photos and any recent X-rays on WhatsApp and Dr. Nasser will tell you what the likely options are, how many visits each needs, and whether your trip is long enough. The fixed written quote itself comes after the examination — anyone who quotes veneers or implants sight-unseen is guessing with your money.

How long do I need to stay in Beirut for veneers or a Hollywood smile?

Plan two to three weeks. Visit one: examination, photographs and a mock-up you approve. Visit two: preparation and temporaries. Visit three, about ten to fourteen days later: fitting. Then keep three or four days before flying, in case anything needs adjusting.

What if something goes wrong after I go home?

You leave with a written treatment record and your X-rays, so any dentist can see exactly what was done. Small adjustments can be made locally; for anything else, message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we will tell you honestly whether it can wait for your next visit.

Do you accept US dollars?

Yes. Quotes are in writing and the clinic accepts US dollars and Lebanese pounds. Ask about other payment methods when you book.

Which languages do you speak?

English, Arabic and French — in the consultation itself, with Dr. Nasser, not just at reception.
